CEL (California Eastern Laboratories) announces that its Cortet™ Connectivity Suite was featured in a 'Best of CES 2016' segment which recently aired on the Discovery Channel. This segment - produced by NewsWatch - reached 210 markets and over 96 million households via the national television broadcast and various social media channels.

The 'Best of CES' episode included live interviews and filming on the show floor with National Technology Expert Scott Steinberg. Many new and innovative products were showcased as part of this airing, with a special focus on IoT (Internet of Things) devices like the Amazon Echo. NewsWatch included its segment on Cortet™ to help describe the technology which is driving connectivity between devices and the internet.

Cortet™ is essentially a turnkey wireless solution which bridges the gap between 'things' and the cloud; more specifically, it enables product manufacturers to quickly and easily link their physical 'thing' to the digital world. During the Consumer Electronics Show, CEL conducted a variety of Cortet™ demos where everyday devices could be easily integrated into virtually any cloud service, including AWS (Amazon Web Services). The cloud-based demos included deep integration with the Echo - Amazon's extremely popular, voice-activated smart home platform that serves as a virtual personal assistant. Many of CEL's Echo-integrated demos are showcased within the NewsWatch video segment.
